Compare My Suburb provides suburb ranking and comparison reports for Australian residential suburbs based on criteria selected by you. Reports are generated using data sourced from Australian government open data APIs and other publicly available datasets.

The Service is intended for personal research purposes only. Nothing on this platform constitutes financial advice, property investment advice, legal advice, or any form of professional advice. You should obtain independent professional advice before making any property purchasing decision.

Reports are generated by an automated, transparent scoring methodology — not editorial opinion, subjective reputation, or paid placement. For each suburb you select, we geocode the suburb to its geographic coordinates and then measure the straight-line ("as the crow flies") distance from that point to the nearest relevant facility for each criterion you choose — for example schools (by sector), hospitals, train stations, supermarkets, universities, airports, and the nearest capital-city CBD.

Each criterion is scored from 0 to 100 based on how close the nearest facility is relative to the maximum distance you set for that criterion. Those criterion scores are then combined into an overall score using the relative importance (weighting) you assign to each criterion, so the final ranking reflects your stated priorities. Where you provide a budget, affordability is blended into the overall score, and broad preferences (such as employment, climate, or rainfall) may apply minor adjustments. Suburbs are then ranked from highest to lowest overall score.

Distances are straight-line measurements, not driving or walking times. Facility locations are drawn from Australian government open data and open geospatial datasets such as OpenStreetMap, and reflect what is published in those sources at the time the report is generated. Some details (for example a school's sector or a suburb's median price) may be derived or estimated from the best available data and are presented as indicative. Where a criterion cannot be matched to available data, it is reported as unavailable rather than presented as a confirmed result. You must be 18 years or older and a resident of Australia to use the paid report service. By completing a purchase you confirm you meet these criteria.

Suburb ranking reports are available for a one-time payment of $49.95 AUD + GST (10%) per report, totalling $54.945 AUD (rounded to $54.95). GST is charged at 10% in accordance with Australian tax law. A tax invoice will be provided electronically upon payment.

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Compare My Suburb does not store your credit card details. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to payment processing.

Reports are delivered electronically and are made available upon successful payment confirmation. Your report is accessible via the unique report URL provided at the time of purchase. Keep this URL secure — access is not password protected.

Due to the digital nature of the product and immediate delivery upon payment, reports are generally non-refundable once generated. If you experience a technical issue that prevents access to your report, contact us at support@smartnetdigital.com.au within 7 days of purchase and we will investigate and resolve or refund at our discretion.

Under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to a remedy if the service has a major failure. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

All content on the Compare My Suburb platform — including report templates, analysis frameworks, website design, text, and graphics — is owned by SmartNet Digital Pty Ltd or its licensors and is protected by Australian copyright law.

Your purchased report is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, resell, or distribute your report without prior written consent from the Company.

Suburb data is sourced from government open data sources including the ABS, ACARA, and data.gov.au. While we take reasonable steps to ensure data accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all data is current, complete, or error-free. Data may be subject to government publication delays, API availability, and other factors outside our control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartNet Digital Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or your reliance on any report generated by the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant report.

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The Market Pulse page at /market is provided free of charge and is for general information purposes only. No purchase is required to access Market Pulse data.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
